From Beginner to Builder: A UX Portfolio in Progress

As a starting‑out UX designer, I’ve focused on digital layouts and mockups while building real projects. My tutoring app — designed as both a mobile app and a responsive website — connects tutor‑seeking students with student‑seeking tutors. By adapting it to local education standards, I’ve shown how design can meet real community needs while laying the foundation for future localization.

About Me

I began my career as a part‑time teacher, spending over three years helping students grow. Curiosity led me to explore UX design — at first without fully knowing what I was stepping into. Over time, it unraveled into something I truly enjoy: creating meaningful digital experiences that connect people, products, and purpose.

As a naturally creative person, I started with tools like Canva, designing posters and resumes. This foundation made the transition into UX feel natural. I completed a Coursera course to build my knowledge, but much of my growth has come through self‑learning — teaching myself Figma and applying it to real projects.

My approach to design merges research‑driven insights with thoughtful design systems. I focus on clarity, accessibility, and delight — ensuring every interface not only looks clean but also feels effortless to use. From wireframes to high‑fidelity prototypes, I craft solutions that highlight both functionality and empathy, helping users achieve their goals while showcasing a brand’s identity.
